Vintage maps are a historical touchstone to the past.  Whereas they obviously chart our way to locations we’ve been before, they less obviously connect us to emotions from that past, to a time that no longer exists, but affects us still. What those times left us with, the good and the bad, are lifted from the fog of memory by documents such as maps.
